Ex-Vmobile, Celtel DMD, Boye Olusanya is now CEO of Etisalat

Former Deputy Managing Director of Celtel Nigeria (now Airtel Nigeria), Boye Olusanya, will be the Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat Nigeria during the transition period.
Following from the resignation of the Chairman of Etisalat Nigeria, Hakeem Bello-Osagie and the CEO, Matthew Willsher, Boye Olusanya has been chosen to be the CEO of the company during the transition period.

Mr Boye Olusanya 51, was also formerly MD of Dancom Technologies, a subsidiary of Dangote Group. 

Joseph Nnana, a Deputy governor of the Central Bank, will be the chairman of the board, replacing Hakeem Belo-Osagie, who has also resigned.

Boye, was a member of the pioneer team of Airtel in 2001 and survived various boardroom crises — a factor said to have contributed to his choice to manage the Etisalat saga.

He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and M.Sc in Environmental Civil Engineering from Liverpool University and another M.Sc in computer science from Manchester University.

Other appointments for the transition team include Joseph Nnana, a deputy governor of the Central bank who will now be the Chairman; Funke Ighodaro as chief financial officer and Seyi Bickersteth, the national senior partner and CEO of KPMG Professional Services Limited

Mr. Olusanya was one of the pioneer staff of Vee Networks at inception in February 2001.

Mr. Olusanya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, with an M.Sc in Environmental Civil Engineering from Liverpool University and another M.Sc. in Computer Science from Manchester University.
