The Ugandan government has closed down Bridge International Schools, after suspecting it of teaching pornography and promoting homosexuality.
Uganda's Minister for Planning, Finance and Economic Development Matia Kasaija said the schools had been closed as they promoted unacceptable culture.
“We could not allow teaching sexual matters in public. Why teaching pornography in Bridge schools? This moral decay couldn’t be tolerated,”Kasaija said.
Uganda closes Bridge International Academies for teaching porngraphy and promoting homosexuality.
The Bridge International Academies has more than 12,000 students in Uganda.
Uganda's High Court in November 2016 ordered 63 Bridge International Academies closed on grounds that the private schools provided unsanitary learning conditions, used unqualified teachers and were not properly licensed.
