Speaking on the red carpet, Demi revealed it was long-term friend and collaborator Nick Jonas who inspired her to be body confident.

Barry Gibb, the only living member of the Bee Gees, was spotted on camera nodding along to the performance.

Demi was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for Confident, but lost the title to the night's big winner Adele.

However, she didn't let the lack of a win ruin her night.

Taking to Twitter after the Grammys, Demi told her 40 million followers: "Still can't believe I was nominated and now I get to perform tonight?! Dreams come true people!"
